my aunts do an annual ladies’ night party thing and it’s always themed… and this year was cuban and there was tres leches cake. among other things (tostones and yes i ate them all). SO GOOD

tonight’s activities were all food related. dinner and goodies for opera tech week!

i always end up burning my eggs but i think they taste better that way

and those are purple potatoes, i did not blacken anything quite that much

turns out nutmeg + cinnamon + banana + chocolate is AWESOME

i’ve never made buttermilk pancakes. but i have some leftover buttermilk from a cake i made last week and i think the stuff is disgusting as a beverage. (does anyone drink it straight besides my grandmother?) 

these things are so fluffy and perfect. SERIOUSLY. like impossibly pretty perfect pancakes. now i know the secret! bahahaha
